In a recent discussion, director Junya Ishizaki shared that Elden Ring Nightreign will feature a map with "evolving landscapes, including procedurally generated volcanoes, swamps, and forests."

This design aims to diversify gameplay and encourage varied approaches to the final boss encounter. Ishizaki explained that by the third in-game day, players will choose their boss, enabling them to strategize and explore areas offering tactical advantages for the battle.
