Tarot Cards stand out as one of the more daring Cursed Possessions in *Phasmophobia*, offering potent effects if luck is on your side. When you stumble upon these cards during your contract, it's wise to use them in a safer area of the map, like near a hiding spot or the entrance. This strategy is crucial, especially if you draw a risky card like Death, giving you a chance to escape the danger.

Each Tarot Card comes with its own unique ability that activates instantly upon drawing. Occasionally, you might draw The Fool, which acts like a Joker and has no effect. You're allowed to draw up to 10 cards from the deck without any sanity loss, and it's possible to draw duplicates, each triggering the same effect.

Below is a detailed look at the 10 different Tarot Cards you might encounter, their effects, and their draw chances:

What are Cursed Objects (Possessions) in Phasmophobia?

Cursed Possessions, also referred to as "Cursed Objects," are unique items in *Phasmophobia* that randomly appear across various contract maps, depending on the difficulty settings or if you're engaging in Challenge Mode.

Unlike standard equipment, which helps you locate the ghost and gather evidence with minimal risk, Cursed Objects offer shortcuts or cheats to manipulate the ghost. However, these come with significantly higher risks to your character. Some are safer to use than others, and the decision to utilize them is entirely up to you and your team. There's no penalty for avoiding them, nor any bonus for using them.

Typically, only one Cursed Possession will appear on the map per contract, unless you adjust settings in Custom mode. Each type of Cursed Object has a fixed spawn location; for instance, the Voodoo Doll is always found in the Garage at 6 Tanglewood Drive.

There are seven different Cursed Objects available in the game:

  • Haunted Mirror
  • Voodoo Doll
  • Music Box
  • Tarot Cards
  • Ouija Board
  • Monkey Paw
  • Summoning Circle
