Elden Ring Nightreign: Max Level Impact Tested by YouTuber

During a hectic Elden Ring Nightreign match, you don’t have much time to pause and analyze stats. The character progression in Nightreign is more straightforward than the flexible point-allocation of base Elden Ring. But what do the various stats actually do, and which numbers should you prioritize?

YouTuber Zullie the Witch recently delved into the backend numbers for answers. Although Nightreign simplifies advancement through level-ups, these predetermined stat increases can be analyzed and graphed—just as Zullie demonstrates in their video.

One intriguing discovery is that leveling up from 1 to 2 gives a much larger stat boost than any other level, making that initial Site of Grace especially significant. On the flip side, levels 13 through 15 provide smaller gains for most characters, creating a kind of soft cap around level 12. You'll still improve, just not as dramatically as in the early stages.

Zullie also notes that different attributes scale differently. For example, the Duchess has a B rating in Dexterity and an A in Intelligence, yet her actual point values remain fairly balanced across levels. Strangely, no character gains Arcane points as they level up.

If you're wondering, the character with the highest total stats—if built in Elden Ring—would be the Recluse. According to Zullie, this is because the Recluse has equal stat growth in Intelligence and Faith; both peak at 51 points by level 15.

There's practical advice here for optimizing builds. Zullie found that each point in Vigor consistently adds 20 HP, regardless of level. Also, Relics that boost attack appear more impactful early on but are eventually outscaled by other damage bonuses as you progress.
