Following the positive reception of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, conversations have shifted to which Bethesda classic might receive similar treatment next. Bruce Nesmith, a lead designer on Fallout 3, has openly acknowledged the game's lackluster gunplay that he believes would see major improvements in a potential remaster.
In an interview with VideoGamer, Nesmith suggested Fallout 3 Remastered would likely adopt Fallout 4's refined shooting mechanics:
"Fallout 4's combat improvements highlight exactly what needed changing from Fallout 3. The original marked Bethesda's first attempt at shooter mechanics - they did remarkable work evolving these systems by Fallout 4."
