Cyberpunk 2077 got patch 2.21, added NVIDIA DLSS 4 and got even more technologically advanced

Cyberpunk 2077 receives a significant update (2.21) from CD Projekt RED, incorporating cutting-edge NVIDIA technology and numerous bug fixes.

A key feature of this update is the integration of DLSS 4 support. GeForce RTX 50 series card owners will experience a substantial performance boost, generating additional frames per second starting January 30th. DLSS 4 also enhances frame generation speed on RTX 40 and 50 series cards while optimizing memory usage.

Furthermore, all GeForce RTX graphics cards now offer a choice between the convolutional neural network and the new transform model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA. The transform model provides superior lighting, detail preservation, and image stability.

This update also addresses several critical issues:

  • Resolved glitches causing in-game screen interference and crashes when DLSS ray reconstruction was active.
  • Corrected an issue where the "Frame Creation" parameter failed to update accurately after disabling resolution scaling.
  • Fixed a bug preventing interaction with certain vendors.
  • Addressed audio problems causing missing or muted TV news program sound effects.
  • Improved the frequency of Johnny's appearance in the passenger seat.
  • Resolved a bug leading to item disappearance when hiding nearby characters.
  • Fixed a game freeze that occurred when simultaneously entering photo mode and accessing a closet or stash.
  • Enhanced Photo Mode functionality to include Nibbles and Adam Smasher in shots even when Vee is in the air or water.
  • Refined the feature controlling Adam Smasher's facial expressions.
