Don't Nod, the French studio behind Life is Strange, has launched the first part of their new narrative adventure. Players can now experience Tape 1, with Tape 2 launching free to all owners on April 15th.
Initially unveiled in 2023, the game centers on a close group of friends shattered during the summer of 1995. Twenty-seven years later, the echoes of that summer return, unleashing unforeseen and terrifying repercussions.
Blending the nostalgic charm of coming-of-age stories with the suspense of psychological thrillers like It, Yellowjackets, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, the game is cleverly divided into two parts: Bloom and Rage. Currently, only Bloom, the first half of this captivating mystery, is available (February 18th release).
Rage, or "The Tape" as the developers call it, will arrive on April 15th. Initially planned for March, the release was delayed to refine the overall experience.
The review embargo has ended, and OpenCritic shows an average score of 74/100, suggesting a promising start for this gripping narrative.
