GSC Gameworld has outlined a series of updates, with a significant focus on the Beta Mod SDK Kit and further enhancements to the A-Life system. A closed beta with mod makers is planned to test the ModKit before its official release. Additionally, the developers aim to integrate Mod.io and Steam Workshop to enhance the modding community's experience.

The A-Life System will see continued improvements, enhancing the game’s NPC AI and simulation. Following a substantial 110 GB update for STALKER 2’s Christmas patch last year, the developers are set to introduce "persistent A-Life improvements" and "smarter human combat; better cover/flanking use, limited grenades."
