Beyond: Two Souls TV Series on the Way from Star Elliot Page

by Elijah Mar 06,2025

Elliot Page's Pageboy Productions is adapting the acclaimed PlayStation game Beyond: Two Souls into a television series. The project, currently in early development, will be a reimagining of the original Quantic Dream title, retaining its signature non-linear narrative.

According to Deadline, Pageboy Productions secured the rights from Quantic Dream. Page himself described his experience filming the game as "one of the most challenging and fulfilling acting experiences" of his career, highlighting the story's emotional depth as a strong foundation for the adaptation. He aims to create a unique vision that resonates with both existing fans and new audiences.

Matt Jordan Smitt, head of development and production at Pageboy, emphasized the team's commitment to honoring the game's legacy while incorporating fresh perspectives. He noted the exploration of survival and the impact of crucial decisions as central themes.

Originally released on PlayStation 3 in 2013, Beyond: Two Souls later appeared on PlayStation 4 (2015) and PC (2019). Directed and written by David Cage of Quantic Dream, the game follows Jodie Holmes, a young woman with psychic abilities and her connection to a spirit named Aiden. The game's non-linear storytelling and star-studded cast, including Page and Willem Dafoe, were key elements of its success.

Cage is collaborating with Page on the TV series adaptation, though the specifics of his involvement remain undisclosed. He expressed his excitement about working with Page again, praising his performance in the game and confidence in his ability to bring a unique vision to the television medium.
