Pageboy Productions d'Elliot Page adapte le jeu de PlayStation acclamé Beyond: Two Souls dans une série télévisée. Le projet, actuellement en début de développement, sera une réimagination du titre original Quantic Dream, conservant son récit non linéaire signature.
Selon Deadline , Pageboy Productions a obtenu les droits de Quantic Dream. Page lui-même a décrit son expérience de tournage du jeu comme "l'une des expériences d'acteur les plus difficiles et épanouissantes" de sa carrière, mettant en évidence la profondeur émotionnelle de l'histoire comme une base forte pour l'adaptation. Il vise à créer une vision unique qui résonne à la fois avec les fans existants et les nouveaux publics.
Matt Jordan Smitt, responsable du développement et de la production chez Pageboy, a souligné l'engagement de l'équipe à honorer l'héritage du jeu tout en incorporant de nouvelles perspectives. Il a noté l'exploration de la survie et l'impact des décisions cruciales en tant que thèmes centraux.
Sortie à l'origine sur PlayStation 3 en 2013, Beyond: Two Souls est apparu plus tard sur Playstation 4 (2015) et PC (2019). Réalisé et écrit par David Cage de Quantic Dream, le jeu suit Jodie Holmes, une jeune femme aux capacités psychiques et son lien avec un esprit nommé Aiden. La narration non linéaire du jeu et la distribution étoilée, y compris Page et Willem Dafoe, ont été des éléments clés de son succès.
