The Sims franchise's 25th anniversary is in full swing, and while Electronic Arts has unveiled its celebratory plans, exciting surprises may still be in store.
A recent Sims teaser hinted at the series' first two installments, sparking widespread fan speculation about a potential return. While unconfirmed, Kotaku sources suggest a possible announcement later this week: digital PC releases of The Sims 1 and 2, complete with their original expansion packs.
The possibility of console versions remains open, although EA is unlikely to forgo the lucrative potential of capitalizing on fans' nostalgia.
Given the age of The Sims 1 and 2 and the scarcity of legitimate ways to play them today, their return would undoubtedly thrill countless fans.
