FFXIV Rewards Returning Adventurers with Free Gameplay

Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!

Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a limited time. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, offering eligible players four consecutive days of free gameplay on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.

The campaign commenced on January 9th, 2025, and the four-day timer begins upon logging into the game launcher. Eligibility requires a previously purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign start. Accounts suspended or cancelled due to Terms of Service violations are ineligible. Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station.

This free return coincides with the recent release of Patch 7.15, featuring new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, including the continuation of the Hildibrand storyline and a new Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's New Year's message confirmed upcoming Patches 7.2 and 7.3 for 2025, along with smaller updates, and hinted at future developments in the Dawntrail main storyline.

While major content updates are still on the horizon, the Free Login Campaign provides an excellent opportunity for lapsed players to catch up on the Dawntrail storyline and participate in the ongoing Heavensturn event (until January 16th), which rewards a minion to all participants. Patch 7.16, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest series, will also launch on January 21st. The mystery surrounding Dawntrail's future narrative remains, leaving players eagerly anticipating Square Enix's next announcements.
