Elden Ring Director Soloed All Bosses Without Relics

The challenge of tackling Elden Ring Nightreign solo has sparked heated discussions since launch, but director Junya Ishizaki confirms single-player completions are absolutely achievable. He speaks from experience - having personally defeated every Nightreign boss alone.

During a CNET interview, Ishizaki was specifically asked whether he conquered all bosses, including the final encounter, by himself.

"Absolutely. Hopefully this reassures players that I've defeated every boss in the game," Ishizaki confirmed. "I've experienced all content both cooperatively and solo. Players should know this is completely viable, and I want them to feel confident attempting it themselves."

CNET pressed further to verify Ishizaki meant defeating every enemy solo. "Correct," he affirmed. "And without using relics either."

While this represents an impressive feat, what truly matters is how Ishizaki's achievement inspires players. His success demonstrates this daunting challenge can be overcome - though perhaps players shouldn't pressure themselves about the relic-free aspect.

Several players have since replicated this accomplishment, defeating both individual Nightlords and completing full solo runs. However, Nightreign's solo experience remains controversial - not only due to difficulty but certain mechanics (like revival systems) seemingly favoring group play.

FromSoftware appears attentive to these concerns. Patch 1.01.1 arrived shortly after launch, specifically enhancing the solo experience by increasing rune rewards for lone warriors and granting one free auto-revival during night boss encounters.
