Clash of Clans is set to ditch Troop Training times in major overhaul

Clash of Clans is about to undergo a massive transformation: troop training times are being completely eliminated! Prepare for near-instant army deployment and lightning-fast battles. However, this means it's now or never for your Training Potions and Treats—use them before they're gone! These will be removed from in-app purchases and chest rewards, though they'll remain available in the Trader and Gold Pass for a limited time. After the month is up, they'll be converted to Gems.

While Clash of Clans remains a mobile gaming legend, its age has become apparent in several areas. Supercell recognizes this and has been steadily modernizing the game. The removal of troop, spell, and siege unit training times is arguably the most significant update yet. Following the removal of training costs in 2022, this change marks another significant step in streamlining the gameplay.

To help players adapt to this change, Supercell is introducing "Match Anytime," a new feature allowing attacks on a snapshot of another player's base when no real-time opponents are available. Rewards are still earned, but the defending player incurs no losses. This mechanic, already used in Clan Wars and Legend League, will now be standard.
