ARK: Survival Ascended Roadmap Reveals 2 Years of Plans

ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled

Studio Wildcard has released an updated roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, detailing content updates extending into late 2026. This Unreal Engine 5 remaster of ARK: Survival Evolved, initially released in November 2023, continues to receive regular updates.

The roadmap's immediate focus is a technical upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.5, slated for March 2025. This update promises significant performance enhancements and the return of Nvidia's frame generation. It also lays the groundwork for individually downloadable DLC map packs, reducing the overall game size.

Beyond the engine upgrade, the roadmap outlines a steady stream of new content:

2025-2026 Content Rollout:

  • April 2025: Free Ragnarok Ascended map, Bison (free creature), and a Fantastic Tame.
  • June 2025: A new premium map (details to be announced).
  • August 2025: Free Valguero Ascended map, a community-voted free creature, and a Fantastic Tame.
  • April 2026: Free Genesis Ascended Part 1 and Bob's True Tales Part 1.
  • August 2026: Free Genesis Ascended Part 2 and Bob's True Tales Part 2.
  • December 2026: Free Fjordur Ascended map and a community-voted free creature.
  • Throughout 2026: Three additional Fantastic Tames.

The roadmap highlights a blend of free content (map remasters, community-chosen creatures) and paid DLC (new maps and premium creatures). While the roadmap provides a high-level overview, Studio Wildcard hints at potential additional surprises throughout the next two years. The focus remains on delivering a polished and expanded ARK experience for players.
