The Last Knight is an engaging side quest that enriches the Rinascita region of Wuthering Waves. While it may not boast the epic scale of the main quest line or larger exploration quests, it offers a unique glimpse into life beyond Ragunna City and comes with a rewarding array of benefits.

This side quest is more straightforward than others like "Where Wind Returns To Celestial Realms" in WuWa, requiring less time and effort to complete. Here's a comprehensive walkthrough of The Last Knight for those seeking guidance.

Starting The Last Knight Quest

To embark on this quest, you must first complete Chapter 2 in its entirety, including the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest. We recommend finishing the main storyline before diving into Rinascita, as many side quests, including this one, are unlocked upon completing Chapter 2 Act 3.

Once you've completed the required questline, make your way to Egla Town in Whisperwind Haven. Look for Cosimo, who should be standing in front of the first house along the main road exiting the town. A blue quest marker on your map will guide you to him.

The Night Reveries

The Night Reveries celebrate a knight who defeated a giant in Whisperwind Haven through a special performance. To participate, players must defeat the Mad Knight and engage in other activities.

The Mad Knight appears only at night. Advance time to between 18:00 and 06:00 the following day, and head to the central pool of the town. This enemy isn't overly challenging; simply unleash your full arsenal to bring it down.

The Last Knight: Mimic Chests

After defeating the Mad Knight, proceed to the tallest tower in town and fly to Carlow's location, as indicated by your quest marker. You'll find him unconscious beside a large, purple flower. Interact with the flower to be transported to another instance where you must identify the mimic among the chests.

The initial three supply chests are genuine. However, in the next group, only one is real, while the others are mimics. The correct chest to open is the second one on the middle-left. Opening it will reward you with Astrites and other valuable items, but be prepared to fend off the attacking mimics afterward.

The Knight's Trail and The Strange Scent

Once you're free from the purple flower's effects, your quest directs you to visit the second and third locations reportedly visited by the legendary Mad Knight. This part involves following quest markers and engaging with NPCs.

After conversing with Mr. Millkeeper, Abby will alert you to a strange scent emanating from somewhere nearby. Follow the quest marker uphill, where you'll encounter a unique Chop Chop accompanied by an invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. We suggest equipping a Questless Knight Echo in your main Echo slot to parry and stun the Chop Chop effectively.

Upon defeating the Chop Chop, Mr. Millkeeper will reveal that the legendary knight of Whisperwind Haven was a fabrication. Instead, he and other Windmill Keepers served as protectors, disguised as knights. This revelation causes Carlow to flee in disbelief.

Find Carlow

Return to Egla Town during daylight and locate Carlow in one of the town plazas. You'll find him confronting a pair of knights who mock him. Instead of retreating, Carlow vows to protect others and challenges one of the men to a duel, shedding his romanticized view of the Mad Knight and embracing the true essence of being a protector.

The quest concludes as Carlow requests the duel, with no further events following. Completing The Last Knight will earn you Union XP, Astrites, and other resources, marking another achievement in the Tales of the Isles event.
