Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic in Mid-April

by Anthony May 24,2025

LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is set to launch on April 16th, heralding a cosmic overhaul that will redefine everything from menus to the battlefield. Players will embark on an adventure through the Dual Nova galaxy, encompassing the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star, promising a thrilling new experience.

Three new champions are set to revolutionize the gameplay in Wild Rift’s latest update. Ryze, the Rune Mage, brings immense AoE damage and can teleport teammates across the map with his Realm Warp ability. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, thrives on chaos, using Paranoia to plunge enemies into total darkness, while Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time, slowing down foes and reviving allies with Chronoshift.

Several champions are also receiving significant reworks. Garen’s Courage now scales over time, enhancing his tankiness, and his Judgment ability will shred enemy armor more effectively. Ambessa transitions from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Smaller tweaks are planned for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, ensuring a balanced meta.

Beyond champion changes, a new Bandle-inspired Rift will spice up non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that appear through portals during the laning phase. Mages are in for a treat with updated items: the new Bandle Fantasy item adds extra burst damage, Hextech GLP800 slows enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance enhances ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.

Ranked mode is also seeing significant updates. A new season will kick off with the launch of the Challenger’s Star, introducing enhancements to the Ranked store and simplifying the process of earning seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM—a fresh take on ARAM with added augments and galactic visuals.

The Wild Pass will offer two stunning skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate and Battlecast Nasus, with Twisted Fate’s look launching an entirely new skinline. For more details on LoL: Wild Rift’s version 6.1 patch, visit the official website.
