While the World of Warcraft 20th Anniversary event has concluded, exciting activities continue! A reprise of the popular Turbulent Timeways event bridges the gap until Patch 11.1's release. This event offers a unique reward attainable by accumulating the Mastery of Timeways buff.

Turbulent Timeways Event Details

Unlike the usual staggered Timewalking events, Turbulent Timeways features five consecutive weeks of Timewalking dungeons (January 1st to February 25th), each showcasing a different expansion. The schedule is:

  • Week 1: Mists of Pandaria (January 7th-14th)
  • Week 2: Warlords of Draenor (January 14th-21st)
  • Week 3: Legion (January 21st-28th)
  • Week 4: Classic (January 28th-February 4th)
  • Week 5: The Burning Crusade (February 4th-11th)
  • Week 6: Wrath of the Lich King (February 11th-18th)
  • Week 7: Cataclysm (February 18th-25th)

Completing a Timewalking dungeon grants a "Knowledge of Timeways" buff (two-hour duration, persistent through death), providing a 5% experience bonus. Four stacks upgrade this to "Mastery of Timeways" (three-hour duration, persistent through death), boosting experience gain by 30%. Each subsequent Timewalking dungeon refreshs the buff timer.

To achieve Mastery of Timeways, maintain four Knowledge of Timeways stacks before expiration. Avoid extended AFK periods to prevent stack loss. Expiration before four stacks necessitates restarting the process.

Turbulent Timeways Rewards

Beyond leveling benefits, Turbulent Timeways offers rewards. The Sandy Shalewing mount, a returning reward from the Dragonflight event, is purchasable from Timewalking vendors for 5,000 Timewarped Badges.

Additionally, the new Timely Buzzbee mount is earned by obtaining the Mastery of Timeways buff across five of the seven event weeks.
