Ticket to Ride launches new Switzerland expansion

Switzerland and its neighbors are now part of the Ticket to Ride experience! This expansion introduces country-to-country connections, adding a new strategic layer to the gameplay. Two new characters and four new tokens also join the fray, making this a perfect holiday gift for fans.

The expansion introduces both country-to-country and city-to-country routes, allowing players to build their railroad empires across a wider range of connections within Switzerland and its neighboring nations. This shift in route mechanics necessitates a reassessment of strategy, promising dynamic gameplay for both seasoned players and newcomers.

Country-to-country tickets challenge players to link specific countries, offering multiple connection choices with varying point values. For example, a France-Germany connection might yield a different point total than a France-Italy connection. The limited number of nodes per country adds another layer of strategic depth, requiring careful planning. City-to-country tickets function similarly, but involve connecting a city to a country.

Points are awarded based on the highest-scoring connection made for each ticket. Failure to complete a connection results in a point deduction based on the ticket's lowest value.
