Tectoy, a name synonymous with Sega consoles in Brazil, is re-entering the handheld market with the Zeenix Pro and Zeenix Lite portable PCs. These devices are launching soon in Brazil, with a global release planned later.
I first encountered the Zeenix Pro and Lite at Gamescom Latam in Brazil, where Tectoy's booth proved incredibly popular. The substantial lines to try the handhelds suggest significant interest, though of course, this isn't a guarantee of quality.
A clearer picture emerges when examining the specifications:
**Zeenix Lite** | **Zeenix Pro** | |
**Screen** | 6-inch Full HD, 60 Hz refresh rate | 6-inch Full HD, 60 Hz refresh rate |
**Processor** | AMD 3050e processor | Ryzen 7 6800U |
**Graphics Card** | AMD Radeon Graphics | AMD RDNA Radeon 680m |
**RAM** | 8GB | 16GB |
**Storage** | 256GB SSD (Expandable with microSD) | 512GB SSD (Expandable with microSD) |
For a more detailed look at performance, including graphical settings and frame rates for popular games, visit the official Zeenix website. Their charts provide real-world examples that offer a more insightful comparison than raw specifications alone.
Both the Zeenix Pro and Lite will include the Zeenix Hub, a software application designed to consolidate games from various stores into a single interface. However, using the Hub is entirely optional.
Pricing and a precise Brazilian release date remain unannounced. Stay tuned to Pocket Gamer for updates as they become available.
