Teardown Adds Multiplayer and Folkrace DLC

Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their popular sandbox game, Teardown. They've announced the addition of a much-anticipated multiplayer mode, alongside the release of a new expansion called Folkrace DLC. This DLC will enrich the single-player experience with new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges. Players can look forward to competing in diverse events, earning rewards, and customizing their vehicles to become the ultimate track champions.

The multiplayer feature will initially be available on Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players early access to test and provide feedback. Tuxedo Labs is particularly interested in input from the modding community, as they plan to update the game's API. This update will enable modders to adapt their creations for use in multiplayer settings.

The introduction of multiplayer fulfills a long-standing goal of the development team and meets a significant demand from the game's fanbase. This announcement signifies the realization of their vision for Teardown.

Upon its launch, the multiplayer mode will be accessible through Steam's "Experimental" branch. Concurrently, Tuxedo Labs will roll out API updates to support modders, ensuring that existing mods can seamlessly integrate into multiplayer environments. Once the testing phase concludes, multiplayer will become a permanent fixture in Teardown.

Looking forward, Tuxedo Labs has teased that two more major DLCs are in development, with more information set to be released later in 2025. This promises even more content and excitement for Teardown enthusiasts.
