It Takes Two, Hazelight Studios' award-winning cooperative masterpiece, captivated gamers worldwide in 2021, selling over 20 million copies and earning accolades such as "Game of the Year" at The Game Awards. Its innovative gameplay sparked considerable anticipation for a sequel.
However, Hazelight has consistently prioritized new creative ventures over sequels. In a recent interview, founder Josef Fares stated that, if forced to choose a game to continue, It Takes Two would be his selection. He intriguingly added, "Who knows what the future holds? Never say never."
While no official sequel announcement exists, Hazelight is currently dedicated to their next project, Split Fiction. Despite this, Fares' remarks have ignited renewed hope among fans for a potential It Takes Two 2. Although specifics remain elusive, the significant interest in a follow-up is undeniable. Fans eagerly await further updates from Hazelight Studios.
