A new Star Trek VR game is currently in development, promising to be the franchise's first survival experience with a narrative-driven approach.

The debut trailer for Star Trek Infection confirms Polish studio Broken Mirror Games as the developer, with Bloober Team (known for The Medium and Silent Hill 2) handling publishing duties.

Fans will spot numerous Easter eggs from the Deep Space 9 era, including references to the Alpha Quadrant, a Defiant-class starship, and signature Starfleet uniforms.

While no main characters appear in the footage, we might still see fan favorites like Quark make an appearance.

Gameplay footage reveals standard VR mechanics with a gory twist – expect mutated tentacles alongside classic Vulcan abilities like mind melds and nerve pinches, now enhanced with sinister infected powers.
