Marvel Rivals has thrilled fans with the announcement of a new skin inspired by the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel's Spider-Man 2, set to be released on January 30. This coincides with the much-anticipated PC debut of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, a first-party PlayStation title developed by Insomniac Games. Alongside this exciting news, Marvel Rivals is also set to release new skins for Mantis and Doctor Strange on January 17.
In Marvel Rivals, Spider-Man plays the role of a Duelist, focusing on dealing maximum damage during matches. With a difficulty rating of five stars, mastering Spider-Man requires significant skill. Players can utilize his superior mobility to web-zip and web-swing across the map, engaging and disengaging from combat swiftly. Spider-Man's abilities include webbing enemies, pulling them towards him, and delivering powerful uppercuts to secure knockouts. The recent Midnight Features quests for Season 1 encourage players to use Spider-Man to earn various rewards.
NetEase Games made the exciting announcement on Twitter, revealing that the Advanced Suit 2.0 from Marvel's Spider-Man 2 will be available as a legendary skin in Marvel Rivals starting January 30. The news was met with enthusiasm, particularly because Yuri Lowenthal, the voice actor for Spider-Man in both games, adds a familiar touch. However, some fans are conflicted, weighing the appeal of the Advanced Suit 2.0 against a rumored Lunar New Year Spider-Man skin that might also be coming to the game.
The Advanced Suit 2.0 retains the iconic red and blue color scheme, distinguished by the large white spider symbol that has become a signature of Insomniac Games' Spider-Man. While many players are eager to add this new cosmetic to their collection, there's some concern about its potential cost. Legendary skin bundles typically cost 2,200 Units, but the legendary MCU skins for Spider-Man and Iron Man are priced at 2,600 Units.
For those eager to acquire Units quickly, completing the Heroic Journey achievements in Marvel Rivals is a smart strategy. These challenges can reward players with up to 1,500 Units and skins for both Storm and Star-Lord. Units and Lattice can then be used to purchase various skins available in the game's shop. With a range of exciting cosmetics on the horizon, fans are eagerly anticipating what NetEase Games will unveil next.
