Sony PlayStation Prepares State of Play Announcement

Sony's February PlayStation State of Play is reportedly scheduled for next week. Leaker NateTheHate, who correctly predicted the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal date, hints at a State of Play airing during Valentine's Day week (February 10-14).

Speculation abounds! What surprises might Sony unveil? Let's consider their first-party titles slated for 2025 release. Sucker Punch's Ghost of Tsushima: Iki Island (assuming "Yotei" is a misspelling) could receive a gameplay showcase and release date announcement. Bungie's Marathon, a PvP extraction shooter, might also appear, potentially revealing details about upcoming playtesting. Haven Studios' debut title, Fairgame, is another possibility. While less likely, new footage for Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is a strong contender.

However, recently cancelled live-service projects from Bend Studio and Bluepoint Games (reportedly a God of War live-service title) won't feature. Guerrilla Games' live-service Horizon project, however, reportedly survived the cuts—could this finally be its time to shine?
