Bypass those lengthy cutscenes in Monster Hunter Wilds! While the game boasts a surprisingly engaging storyline and well-developed characters, some hunters just want to get straight to the action. This guide shows you how to skip the narrative and jump into the hunt.
Skipping Cutscenes:
To skip cutscenes, simply hold down the Y key on a keyboard, or the back button on your controller. Hold it for approximately one second. If you're using a less common control scheme, briefly press a few buttons during a cutscene; the required input will be displayed in the top-right corner of the screen.
Alternative Options:
You can also pause cutscenes to review details without skipping entirely. However, since many Wilds cutscenes are integral to the plot, skipping is only recommended for subsequent playthroughs.
Alternatively, you can rewatch cutscenes at your leisure through the in-game menu. This allows you to revisit memorable moments, such as spectacular monster introductions, perhaps for screenshots. While this approach might disrupt the narrative flow, it offers a way to appreciate the game's visuals at your own pace.
