At first glance, Seedsow Lullaby seems like an unusual release. It markets itself as a visual novel without player choices or branching storylines. "But wait," you might ask, "isn't that the entire point of a visual novel?" The answer isn't so simple—Seedsow Lullaby's core premise is compelling enough to potentially overcome that expectation.

In the story, Misuzu lost her mother when she was young. On her sixteenth birthday, she is suddenly approached by a woman claiming to be her mother—also aged sixteen. Misuzu learns she must help perform the Seedsow Ceremony to herald the rebirth of the gods. To succeed, she will also need assistance from her own daughter, summoned from the future.

Time travel is certainly no stranger to the visual novel genre. Titles like Steins;Gate have become iconic, celebrated for their complex alternate timelines and branching narratives. Seedsow Lullaby, however, appears to take a more linear approach to the concept.

While the absence of branching paths may disappoint some, the game's exploration of life, death, and the inevitability of the future promises a thought-provoking storyline. Keep an eye out for the international release of Seedsow Lullaby in the near future.
