Safari Ball to Debut in Pokémon GO's Wild Area Event

The highly anticipated Pokémon GO Wild Area event is almost here, and the star of the show is undoubtedly the Safari Ball – the game's seventh Poké Ball! This article delves into the details of this new event and its unique Poké Ball.

What's the Pokémon GO Safari Ball All About?

Long-time Pokémon fans will recognize Safari Zones from the main series games. These special areas allow for the capture of rare Pokémon without battling. Niantic is replicating this concept with the new Wild Area event.

Pokémon GO hasn't seen many new Poké Ball additions. Regularly used balls include the standard Poké Ball, Great Ball, and Ultra Ball. Premier Balls and the coveted Master Ball round out the current selection.

The global Wild Area event runs from November 23rd to November 24th, 2024, concluding at 6:15 pm local time. Crucially, any unused Safari Balls will vanish from your inventory after the event ends.

During the event, the Safari Ball will be the preferred tool for catching powerful Pokémon. Niantic's decision to introduce the Safari Ball in a new event, rather than existing Safari Zone or City Safari events, is intriguing.
