Rainbow Six Siege X Atlanta Reveal: Key Highlights

As Rainbow Six Siege celebrates its tenth year, Ubisoft is ushering in a new chapter with the announcement of Siege X. Think of it as the evolution CS2 brought to CS:GO—only this time, it’s Siege stepping into the future. Set to launch on June 10, Siege X is making waves by going free-to-play for everyone.

Here’s what you can expect from the latest iteration:

New Mode: Dual Front

In this 6v6 battleground, attack and defense operators are combined into one dynamic team. The objective? Capture enemy zones and deploy sabotage devices. Each map is segmented into three zones per team plus one large neutral area. And don’t worry about being sidelined—players respawn 30 seconds after dying.

Advanced Rappel System

The rappel mechanic has been overhauled. Now, players can rappel both vertically and horizontally, adding a layer of versatility to their movements.

Increased Environmental Destruction

Destruction just got more explosive. The trailer highlighted destructible objects like fire extinguishers and gas pipes, which can now be blown apart to create tactical opportunities.

Reworks for Five Popular Maps

Five fan-favorite maps are receiving extensive updates. Expect fresh layouts and gameplay dynamics.

Graphical & Audio Enhancements

Ubisoft is pulling out all the stops with a comprehensive visual and audio upgrade. Expect sharper graphics and immersive soundscapes.

Improved Anti-Cheat & Toxicity Measures

Combatting toxicity and cheating is a priority. Developers are fine-tuning the anti-cheat system while addressing toxic behavior within the community.

And for those eager to dive in early, Ubisoft is hosting a closed beta over the next seven days. To qualify, simply tune into Siege streams and watch live gameplay.
