While acknowledging the significant fan interest in bringing MGS4 to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, Okamura remained elusive about concrete plans, stating that Konami is "internally concerned about what we should be doing for the future of the series."

Last year, placeholder buttons for MGS4, MGS5, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker appeared on Konami's official timeline, adding weight to the rumors. IGN reported that these titles are likely candidates for inclusion in Master Collection Vol. 2. Further fueling the speculation, David Hayter, the English voice actor for Solid Snake, hinted at his involvement in an MGS4-related project on social media.

Despite the mounting evidence, Konami has yet to officially confirm any plans for an MGS4 remake or its inclusion in Master Collection Vol. 2. The wait continues.
