Niantic recently announced exciting news for Brazilian Pokémon Go players at gamescom latam 2024. A major event is planned for São Paulo in December, promising a city-wide takeover. Details remain scarce, but the event promises to be massive. The team, including Alan Madujano (Head of Operations in LATAM), Eric Araki (Brazil Country Manager), and Leonardo Willie (Community Manager for Emerging Markets), highlighted the game's immense popularity in Brazil.
Collaborating with the São Paulo City Hall and shopping centers, Niantic aims to create a fun and safe experience for all participants. Beyond the December event, Niantic is expanding Pokémon Go’s reach in Brazil by partnering with city governments nationwide to increase the number of PokéStops and Gyms.
Brazil's significance to Niantic is undeniable, especially since the reduction in in-game item costs led to a revenue surge. This success is further celebrated with the creation of a locally-produced video showcasing the game's impact. 2024 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for Brazilian Pokémon Go players.
Pokémon Go is available now for free on the App Store and Google Play, with in-app purchases. Download it today!
