Get ready for the Pokémon GO Lunar New Year 2025 event! Niantic has announced a celebratory event running from January 29th to February 2nd, packed with opportunities to catch Lucky Pokémon, Shiny Pokémon, and earn valuable rewards.

This exciting event coincides with Pokémon GO's ninth anniversary and precedes the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour: Unova. The Lunar New Year festivities offer increased chances of encountering specific Pokémon in the wild, including Shiny Ekans, Onix, and Snivy. Additional Pokémon like Darumaka, Dunsparce, Gyarados, and Dratini will also appear more frequently. Keep an eye out for Makuhita, Nosepass, Meditite, Duskull, and Skorupi hatching from 2km Eggs.
