In the bustling trade chat of Path of Exile 2, White Stellar Amulets are often sought after, fetching prices around 10 to 15 Exalted Orbs each. For many players, the high value of these items can be perplexing. Understanding why these amulets are so prized is crucial, especially for those considering whether to sell them or use them to potentially gain even more valuable items.

What Makes White Stellar Amulets Valuable in Path of Exile 2?

White Stellar Amulets, which are of normal rarity and only have the implicit modifier "+# to All Attributes," hold significant value due to their potential to be transformed into the Astramentis Stellar Amulet. Astramentis is one of the most coveted Unique Amulets in the game, offering a massive boost of +80-120 to All Attributes. This attribute increase can be synergized with the Hand of Wisdom and Action Furtive Wraps, another highly valuable Unique item that enhances attack speed and lightning damage based on the player's Intelligence and Dexterity.

The key to this transformation lies in using an Orb of Chance on a White Stellar Amulet. Notably, only White Stellar Amulets can be used for this purpose; Magic (Blue) or Rare (Yellow) variants do not qualify. This exclusivity is why White Stellar Amulets command such high prices compared to their more modified counterparts.

Should You Sell White Stellar Amulets or Use the Orb of Chance

Deciding whether to sell your White Stellar Amulets or use them with an Orb of Chance involves weighing the risks and rewards. The chance of obtaining an Astramentis through this method is extremely low, making it a high-risk gamble. Even using 100 Stellar Amulets might not yield an Astramentis, though there's always a slim chance of hitting the jackpot.

Selling a White Stellar Amulet can net you between 10-30 Exalted Orbs, depending on current market rates. This immediate gain might be more appealing than the uncertain prospect of using an Orb of Chance. Ultimately, the choice is yours: take the guaranteed currency or roll the dice for a potentially game-changing item.

How to Use Orb of Chance To Get Astramentis in PoE 2

To attempt transforming a White Stellar Amulet into Astramentis, place the amulet in your inventory, right-click on the Orb of Chance, and then left-click on the Stellar Amulet. The possible outcomes of this action are:

  • The item is destroyed.
  • The item is upgraded to a unique sharing the same base. For Stellar Amulets, the possible uniques are:
    1. Astramentis
    2. Fixation of Yix

Fixation of Yix is the more common outcome, making it less desirable than Astramentis. If the gamble fails, the Stellar Amulet is likely to be destroyed.
