The teaser highlighted a larger screen, a more robust kickstand, and magnetically attaching Joy-Cons – a departure from the original's rail system. An additional USB-C port is also included on the console itself.

Registration opens January 17th, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. PT / 2:00 P.M. CT / 3:00 P.M. ET, and closes January 26th, 2025, at 11:59 P.M. local time for each location. Selection is random, and a Nintendo Account is required.
