"Morikomori Life: New Social, Rural Sim with Ghibli-Style Art"

Morikomori Life, a captivating rural farm life simulation game, has officially launched on Android and iOS platforms, but its availability is currently limited to Japan. This time, Realfun Studio is behind its publication. Interestingly, the game was initially released in China by Level Infinite, a division of Tencent Games, though the Chinese version was discontinued approximately a year ago.

The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back

One of the standout features of Morikomori Life is its enchanting visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of a cozy, rural life through anime-inspired, specifically Studio Ghibli-style art. Unlike the generic AI-generated visuals, these scenes truly evoke the feeling of a frame directly lifted from a Ghibli animated film.

In the game, you step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese girl. The storyline begins when Kaon receives an enigmatic letter from her grandmother, inviting her to visit the village of Komori, where she spent her childhood. As Kaon returns, players can explore and rediscover the joys of a tranquil, countryside lifestyle. The 3D toon shading of Komori beautifully enhances the warm, inviting atmosphere of the Japanese countryside.

If you're skeptical about the visuals, just take a moment to watch the Morikomori Life trailers embedded below and see the magic for yourself!

Morikomori Life Lets You Experience Slow-Paced Living

Morikomori Life focuses on the essence of slow-paced, slice-of-life activities. Players can engage in farming, cooking, fishing, hunting, and even constructing their own homes. From chopping wood to mining for ore, and exploring to find rare materials, the game offers a variety of tasks to keep you immersed.

As you gather resources, you unlock opportunities to upgrade your house and enrich your lifestyle. Customize Kaon's appearance to match your personal style, and interact with new friends in the village. Prepare meals from the ingredients you forage, and lend a helping hand to villagers with various tasks.

The game also features an open-world element, allowing you the freedom to roam and discover delightful surprises scattered throughout Komori.

Currently, Morikomori Life is available for Android users in Japan. You can find it on the Google Play Store if you're in the region. There has been no announcement yet regarding a global release.
