"Monster Train: A Slay the Spire-Inspired Game Now on Android"

Monster Train, the acclaimed roguelite deck-building game, has made its way to Android devices, following its initial release on PC in 2020, consoles, and iOS in 2022. Often compared to the popular game Slay the Spire due to its genre and gameplay, Monster Train brings a unique twist to the mobile gaming scene.

What Does Monster Train Bring to Android?

Set aboard a literal train bound for the frozen core of hell, your mission in Monster Train is to safeguard the last burning pyre from heavenly invaders. What sets this game apart is its innovative use of three vertical lanes. Unlike most games where you battle enemies on a single battlefield, Monster Train challenges you to manage three lanes simultaneously, adding a layer of strategic depth to your gameplay.

As you progress, you'll unlock over 250 cards, with the opportunity to choose from five distinct monster clans, each offering unique playstyles. The ability to mix and match two clans at a time allows for a high degree of customization and replayability. Each clan also features ten levels of upgrades, enabling you to access more powerful cards as you continue to play. Champions, the game's most valuable players, can be upgraded multiple times, further enhancing your deck's strength.

The Android version of Monster Train comes fully loaded with all the latest updates, including the Wild Mutations and Friends & Foes expansions. Wild Mutations introduces 35 new mutators and new difficulty settings, while Friends & Foes adds new champions, bosses, cards, and artifacts to your arsenal. Additionally, The Last Divinity DLC offers substantial replay value with the introduction of the Wurmkin clan. To unlock them, you'll need to conquer Covenant level 1. This DLC also introduces the Pact Shards mechanic, providing you with enhanced power to face off against the challenging final boss, 'The Last Divinity.'

Will You Try It Out?

Monster Train's Android version is fully playable offline, even in airplane mode, making it a perfect companion for your travels. Priced at $10, you can unlock the full version through in-app purchases, which primarily involve unlocking the complete game. Once purchased via your Google account, your progress is transferable across devices, thanks to cloud save support. However, note that there's no controller support for the Android version. If this sounds like your kind of game, be sure to check it out on the Google Play Store.
