Monster Hunter Wilds PC Benchmark Released, System Requirements Lowered
With Monster Hunter Wilds launching in just weeks, Capcom has unveiled a PC benchmark on Steam, allowing players to gauge system compatibility. Simultaneously, the minimum PC system requirements have been significantly reduced.
The benchmark tool, available now on Steam, requires shader compilation upon launch but is otherwise straightforward to run. This is particularly helpful given the updated system requirements.
Previously, achieving 1080p at 60fps (with Frame Generation) demanded an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060, or AMD Radeon RX 6700XT; an Intel Core i5-11600K, Intel Core i5-12400, AMD Ryzen 5 3600X, or AMD Ryzen 5 5500 CPU; and 16GB of RAM.
However, the updated requirements, as listed alongside the benchmark, are considerably less demanding:
Recommended (1080p/60fps with Frame Generation):
According to Capcom, these specs should deliver a smooth 1080p/60fps experience with Frame Generation. The reduction in requirements is notable.

Early benchmark results suggest improved performance compared to beta testing, particularly with Frame Generation enabled. However, Steam Deck compatibility remains uncertain.
A significant change is the reduced storage requirement. The game now needs only 75GB of SSD space, down from the previously stated 140GB. This is surprising given the typical increase in game file sizes.
