Get ready for another chance to hunt! Monster Hunter Wilds is launching a second Open Beta, giving players a fresh opportunity to experience the game before its official release. This extended beta test includes new content not available in the first round.
New Monster and Extended Playtime
Missed the first beta? Fear not! The second Open Beta Test will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time, you'll get to hunt the Gypceros, a fan-favorite monster from previous games.
Carryover and Rewards
Character data from the first beta can be carried over to this one, and then subsequently transferred to the full game. While progress won't be saved, participants will receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne Teddy weapon charm and a special bonus item pack.
Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto explained the decision for a second beta, citing player requests for another opportunity to participate. While recent development updates showcasing improvements won't be included in this beta, the team is working diligently to finalize the full game.
