Tracking Your Fortnite Spending: A Comprehensive Guide

Fortnite is free, but its enticing skins can lead to unexpected spending. This guide details how to monitor your Fortnite expenditures, preventing financial surprises.

Method 1: Reviewing Your Epic Games Store Transactions

All V-Buck purchases are recorded in your Epic Games Store account, regardless of platform or payment method. Follow these steps:

  1. Access the Epic Games Store website and log in.
  2. Click your username (top right).
  3. Select "Account," then "Transactions."
  4. On the "Purchase" tab, scroll through your transactions, clicking "Show More" as needed.
  5. Identify entries showing "5,000 V-Bucks" (or similar) with a corresponding dollar amount.
  6. Record the V-Bucks and currency amounts separately.
  7. Use a calculator to sum your total V-Bucks and total currency spent.

Important Considerations:

  • Free Epic Games Store games will appear as transactions; scroll past these.
  • Redeemed V-Bucks cards might not display a dollar value.

Method 2: Utilizing Fortnite.gg

As noted by Dot Esports, Fortnite.gg offers a method to estimate spending, though it requires manual input:

  1. Visit Fortnite.gg and log in (or create an account).
  2. Navigate to "My Locker."
  3. Manually add each purchased outfit and item from your Cosmetics section (click the item, then "+ Locker"). You can also search for items.
  4. Your locker will then display the total V-Buck value of your acquired cosmetics.
  5. Use a V-Buck to dollar converter (many are available online) to estimate your total spending.

Neither method is completely foolproof, but they provide reasonable estimates of your Fortnite spending.

Fortnite is available on multiple platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
