The studio's chairman of worldwide production expressed their commitment to preserving the essence of Magic: The Gathering, stating, "We pride ourselves on being thoughtful caretakers of singular, beloved IP, and no property better fits that description than Magic: The Gathering."

While details are still emerging, it appears that Legendary's adaptations may not be connected to the previously announced Magic: The Gathering animated series set for Netflix.
