Originally gaining traction on PC, Light: Path of the Archmage arrives on iOS later this year. Created by Sunshineshiny, this enchanting fantasy RPG blends nostalgic charm with remarkable flexibility, offering either relaxed exploration or intense adventure – the choice is yours.
Your adventure starts at Academy Island, a floating university campus. The mobile version launches with a free trial, and from there, you craft your own experience. Prefer peaceful scenery? Keep it serene. Crave spellcasting chaos and dramatic encounters? Raise the Hostility Index and embrace the action.
Light features four dynamic systems: starting character (affecting spells and traits), Hostility Index (world difficulty scaling), playstyle selection (Cosy or Adventure), and team makeup (impacting creature relationships and combat). This responsive approach creates deeper immersion than rigid, linear gameplay.

For structured players, follow the core quest to restore the Archmage's corrupted Spellbook by collecting seven orbs to awaken fairy dragon Guardians. Or ignore the main plot entirely – craft potions, expand your collection, go fishing, or adopt magical familiars. The rhythm is yours to set.
While waiting, explore our picks for top Android RPGs worth playing!
The seven islands conceal hidden realms – from vibrant forests to sun-scorched deserts and mysterious corners for thrill-seekers. Competitive players can test skills in optional PvP arenas.
Begin your magical journey by pre-registering for Light: Path of the Archmage below. Additional details await on Steam.
