Warhorse Studios has just rolled out a significant free update for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II—version 1.2. This patch brings exciting new features to the game, including native mod integration through Steam Workshop and a fresh barber shop system that adds a new layer of personalization to your gameplay experience.
With the Steam Workshop integration, modding Kingdom Come: Deliverance II becomes a breeze. Players can now download and install mods directly within the game, eliminating the hassle of using third-party platforms. However, this feature's success hinges on mod creators uploading their content to Steam Workshop. Currently, the selection is limited, featuring only a few mods such as:
While the current mod selection is modest, the community is poised for rapid growth. With over a thousand mods already available on Nexus Mods, many creators are expected to share their work on both platforms. Although Steam Workshop may not match Nexus Mods in scale, popular mods are sure to make their way to the platform soon.

Beyond modding, the update introduces a barber shop system. Players can now visit NPC barbers in Rattay and Kuttenberg to change their hairstyle or beard design. Visiting a barber not only lets you freshen up your look but also temporarily boosts your protagonist's Charisma stat.
Update 1.2 is a comprehensive overhaul, with Warhorse Studios reporting over a thousand fixes and improvements. The extensive changelog, available on the game’s official website, covers nearly every aspect of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Highlights include balancing adjustments, refined animations, and better NPC behavior, with the crime system being fine-tuned for greater accuracy.
Other notable enhancements include revised daily schedules for NPCs to make their routines more realistic, enhanced horse riding mechanics and horse trading systems, and improved character visuals and performance, especially in Kuttenberg and during large-scale battles.
Warhorse Studios is set to dive deeper into these changes during a developer livestream next Thursday. The studio remains committed to supporting the game, with three paid DLC expansions planned for release in spring, summer, and winter.
With the addition of Steam Workshop integration, new cosmetic options, and a host of gameplay refinements, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II continues to evolve, offering players an even richer medieval experience.
