Star and executive producer Jason Sudeikis confirmed the long-awaited update during a recent episode of the New Heights podcast hosted by NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce. In a candid moment from the latest episode, the Kelce brothers pressed Sudeikis for details about what’s next after Season 3 wrapped in summer 2023.
“That’s what we’re writing—we’re working on Season 4 now,” Sudeikis revealed. “And yes, Ted’s coaching a women’s team.”

This marks the first definitive update on the show since its last season, offering fans reassurance that the uplifting story of optimism, teamwork, and personal growth will continue. While no release date or confirmation has been made about whether Season 4 will be the final chapter, early reports suggest filming could begin as soon as July—with the first episode potentially shot in Kansas City before Ted returns to the UK.
According to Deadline, Juno Temple—who plays Keeley—is currently in negotiations to rejoin the cast, while Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca), Brett Goldstein (Roy), and Jeremy Swift (Leslie) are already confirmed to return. The news comes as Apple TV+ quietly ramps up promotional efforts—the show’s official X/Twitter account recently posted a playful message hinting at its return:
Finally found the dang password to this thing.
Sorry y’all. What’d I miss?
