Unfrozen has unveiled a fresh gameplay trailer for Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, highlighting core strategy elements such as combat mechanics, unit diversity, and gameplay systems. Accompanying this reveal, the studio announced beta registration for the "Arena" mode—players can sign up through the Steam page, with testing running from March 17 to 28.
Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era is slated for Steam Early Access in Q2 2025, launching with six factions, three single-player campaigns, and three competitive multiplayer modes. Ubisoft is publishing this long-awaited revival of the classic franchise.
Earlier this month, Unfrozen introduced the Dungeon faction, featuring troglodytes, dark elves, minotaurs, medusas, hydras, and dragons. Each unit adds distinct tactical possibilities, expanding the game's strategic complexity.
The developers acknowledged facing design hurdles with the Arena mode, including balancing hero skills and addressing the absence of starting advantages in confined battle spaces. These challenges were successfully overcome to deliver a polished, competitive experience.
While the PC version is on track for a 2025 release, the exact launch window remains unconfirmed. Unfrozen aims to craft an experience that resonates with both longtime series fans and strategy newcomers.
