Stealth is a crucial approach for completing certain tasks in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, and the "Storm" quest is a prime example where it's not just a choice but a necessity. To successfully navigate "Storm," you'll need to rely on your sneaking skills to overcome the challenges ahead.
"Storm" marks a significant turning point, wrapping up the main quests in the Trosky Region and setting the stage for your journey into the Kuttenberg Region. Just like "For Whom the Bell Tolls," you start "Storm" under dire circumstances. Without your armor, weapons, or even Saviour Schnapps, and with lowered health and stamina due to torture, the odds are stacked against you.

Your first step is to scavenge gear from the guards that Katherine dealt with during your prison break. While their equipment isn't top-notch, it's essential for your survival. Katherine also provides you with her dagger, enabling stealth kills. Your goal is to reach the top of the Crone in Trosky, using stealth to avoid or quietly dispatch the guards you encounter along the way.

At the summit, you'll confront Istvan Toth. Since this encounter doesn't affect the best ending, consider choosing the dishonorable option if direct combat feels too risky given your weakened state. After dealing with Toth, search the room to recover everyone's belongings and gather crucial documents.
With Toth out of the way and your gear reclaimed, head back to the dungeon to reunite with your companions. They'll equip their items and guide you through the escape tunnels, making this part of the quest relatively straightforward.
The real challenge begins as you navigate the hills. Keeping your conspicuousness low is vital to avoid detection by the guards, who can quickly summon reinforcements if they spot you. Your reduced stats from torture make stealth kills and knockouts more difficult, adding to the tension.

Start by taking the right path uphill, which leads to a larger, guard-patrolled route. Your objective is to reach Mika, who has been captured. Sneak up behind the guard, take him out, and free Mika. This not only saves your position but also provides you with Mika's guidance for the next phase.
The final stretch of "Storm" requires a prolonged period of stealth. Follow the locations marked on your map according to Mika's instructions. Head east and southeast to reach the main road in Apollonia, sticking to the sides and using bushes for cover to evade the guards. The area on your map may seem vast, but you only need to reach about halfway to trigger the ending cutscene. Use stones to distract guards and slip past them unnoticed. Once the cutscene plays, your part in "Storm" concludes, and you'll move on to the Kuttenberg Region.

"Storm" stands out as one of the few quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 where stealth is not just an option but a requirement. Prioritizing your stealth skills and perks before this quest can significantly ease your journey through its challenges.
