Some video games get your heart racing and your blood pressure soaring. That's what makes them thrilling. Others slow your pulse and guide you into a state of meditative calm. Those games are equally fantastic. Frike, the debut Android game from indie developer chakahacka, uniquely blends both experiences into one captivating package.
The objective of Frike is straightforward: survive as long as possible. You control a floating triangle segmented into purple, orange, and green. On the left side of the screen, two virtual buttons allow you to ascend and descend, while a button on the right rotates your triangular avatar.
Despite having only one level, Frike is anything but small. This level is infinite, ensuring you'll never reach the end. Scattered throughout its moody, abstract world are blocks in white, purple, orange, and green. To accumulate points, you must rotate your triangle so its corners match the colors of the squares they collide with.

Colliding with too many mismatched or white squares results in your triangle exploding. However, some squares offer bonus effects that slow you down, giving you more time to align your next move.
Frike exemplifies a minimalist arcade casual game. If you're chasing a high score, it can be intense, but if you're looking to relax, you can simply navigate around obstacles and soak in the ambiance.
Complementing its understated visuals, Frike features a meditative soundtrack filled with echoey chimes and metallic tinkles.
If this sounds appealing, you can download Frike for free right now from the Google Play Store.
