Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, leaving you initially unarmed. Fortunately, acquiring a powerful weapon early on is possible. This guide details how to obtain the Dogwood Village Bow for free.

After parting ways with Hans, you'll need to find a way into the wedding. While you can pursue blacksmith or miller work, the blacksmith's location conveniently marks the bow's whereabouts on your map.

The blacksmith's workshop is located in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. Travel west from Troskowitz, following the path north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. A small training area is hidden within.

You'll find a target with arrows – collect these for free ammunition. To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, is the Dogwood Village Bow. You'll also find brew and mushrooms nearby.

Alternative Acquisition:

While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, buying the bow isn't cost-effective compared to obtaining it for free. However, Vitek offers other, potentially superior weapons. Alchemy can also provide a supplementary income stream.

Regardless of your chosen method, having a ranged weapon significantly improves combat, especially for players who prefer ranged combat over melee.

Upon acquiring the bow, you can continue with the main quest, either by pursuing the blacksmith's job (allowing a save point after forging a sword) or proceeding directly to the miller.
