FragPunk, the eagerly awaited multiplayer first-person shooter, has now officially launched on PC. Currently, it boasts a mixed rating of 67% on Steam, reflecting early user feedback. The game's core appeal lies in its 5v5 battles, where the innovative use of fragment-cards takes center stage. These cards dynamically shift the rules of combat during gameplay, ensuring that no two matches feel the same. "The cards can be combined, counteract one another, and add a new layer of tactical depth to the classic gameplay," the developers at Bad Guitar explain, highlighting the strategic element this feature brings to the table.
Players can choose from 13 unique launchers, each equipped with special abilities, catering to both team-oriented and solo play styles. Whether you're strategizing with your squad or relying on your individual skills during online matches, FragPunk offers a versatile experience that appeals to a broad range of players.
In other news, Bad Guitar, the studio behind FragPunk, has announced an unexpected delay for the console versions of the game. Originally set to launch on March 6 across all platforms, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S releases were postponed just two days before the scheduled date due to "unforeseen technical issues." Although a new release date hasn't been confirmed yet, the developers have committed to keeping the community informed about future developments.
