Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2

Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and accessible only via a destroyed bridge, presents a significant challenge in Divinity: Original Sin 2. This guide outlines multiple methods to overcome this obstacle and continue your adventure.

Method 1: The Spirit Bridge

The remnants of a bridge, northeast of Cloisterwood and near Jahan and Witch Alice, offer a path. Use Spirit Vision to reveal the broken sections. Crossing requires either:

  1. Gloves of Teleportation: Teleport each party member individually across the gaps.
  2. Translocation Skills: Utilize skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat for teleportation. Note: Not all companions possess these skills.
  3. Teleporter Pyramids: Use two pyramids. Have one companion cross using translocation, place a pyramid, then teleport the rest of the party.
  4. Fast Travel: A companion with translocation can reach the Bloodmoon Island waypoint, allowing the rest to fast travel.

Method 2: The Undead Ferry

Located northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage across the Deathfog. However, this is treacherous:

  • With Fane: Only Fane, being undead and immune to Deathfog, survives the ferry ride. He can then establish a waypoint for the rest of the party.
  • Without Fane: Use two Teleporter Pyramids. Have a companion take the ferry (they'll die on arrival), then teleport the rest using the second pyramid. Resurrect the fallen companion.

Important Considerations:

  • Avoiding the Ferryman: It's advisable to avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman, as he can retaliate with a deadly Deathfog spell. A quicksave is recommended if you choose to engage him. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
  • Bridge vs. Ferry: If Fane isn't in your party, the bridge is generally the faster and safer option.

This comprehensive guide ensures you can successfully navigate the treacherous path to Bloodmoon Island and continue your journey in Divinity: Original Sin 2.
