Disney Mirrorverse Game Ends Service This Year

Disney Mirrorverse, the mobile action RPG featuring reimagined Disney and Pixar characters, is shutting down. Kabam, the developer, announced the End of Service (EOS) date as December 16th, 2024.

The game is already unavailable on the Google Play Store, and all in-app purchases have been disabled. Players have approximately three months of remaining gameplay before the servers are permanently deactivated.

A Look Back at Disney Mirrorverse

Launched in June 2022, Disney Mirrorverse initially generated significant excitement among Disney fans. However, a lengthy two-year early access beta period and inconsistent content updates contributed to player attrition. The game's challenging shard collection system, requiring significant time investment or in-app purchases to fully develop characters, also proved a deterrent for many. Despite these shortcomings, the game's character designs and graphics were widely praised.

The abrupt EOS announcement, following the recent addition of Cinderella and new story content, surprised many players. This isn't Kabam's first game closure; they previously shut down Transformers: Forged to Fight and a Marvel Contest of Champions spin-off.
