Anticipation Builds: More Dawnwalker Details Coming Soon

Witcher Former Devs' Upcoming Dark Fantasy Action RPG To Be Published by Bandai NamcoThe collaboration, announced earlier this week, designates Bandai Namco as the global publisher for Dawnwalker, slated for release in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox. This marks a significant step for Rebel Wolves, founded in 2022 by The Witcher 3's game and art directors.

Dawnwalker, a mature-rated AAA action RPG, immerses players in a dark fantasy world inspired by medieval Europe. Further details are promised in the coming months. The studio aims to redefine the RPG experience through compelling storytelling.

"Rebel Wolves, a blend of seasoned expertise and fresh perspectives, aligns perfectly with Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe's commitment to RPGs and its support of new IPs," said Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, Tomasz Tinc. "We share a vision, and their history of publishing narrative-driven RPGs is impressive. We eagerly anticipate collaborating to bring the Dawnwalker saga to players worldwide."

Bandai Namco views Dawnwalker as a valuable addition to their portfolio. Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, VP of business development, commented, "This partnership is a crucial step in our Western market strategy. By combining our strengths, we'll deliver this debut title to a global audience."

Co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek, a nine-year CD Projekt Red veteran, confirms Dawnwalker is a new IP. The game's scope is anticipated to be comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, offering a non-linear narrative.

Tomaszkiewicz previously stated, "Our goal is to create an experience that rewards replayability through diverse choices and opportunities for experimentation. Collaborating with such talented individuals to achieve this vision at Rebel Wolves is a privilege, and I'm excited for everyone to witness the team's hard work."
